Sometimes, problems arise and we may have to transfer you to another GP, although this is a rare occurrence.
Appointments can be requested using the internet (patient access) or by telephone (lines open at 08:15). All requests are initially for telephone appointments and you will be asked to give your telephone number and brief details of your illness (if you are happy to do so) to the receptionist. A Doctor will call you back, usually within the hour. You will then be able to discuss your problem directly with the doctor. The doctor will then be able to book you into the appropriate clinic or organise tests, if necessary, before seeing you to avoid further delays with your care.
We try to offer a mutually convenient appointment with the doctor or nurse of your choice. As this is not always possible, we hope you will accept the best alternative. If you cannot keep your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that it can be offered to another patient. If your have internet access you can cancel on line (via patient access, pre-registration necessary).
There are occassions when a doctor may be delayed by an emergency. We will try to keep you informed of any delay to your face to face appointment and would appreciate your patience when this happens.
