We're very proud to announce that one of our patients, Mrs Margaret Holland, has been nominated for Knitter of Year award with Knit Now Magazine June 2018 as one of their charity heroes!

Knit Now says "Knitters are such a generous bunch, and lots of us like to knit for a good cause.  Raise your glass to these wonderful women who go above and beyond for charity"

Margaret says I knit baby clothes and toys for our doctor's surgery, which sells them to help buy equipment as it is not NHS funded.  I have knitted since I was a small girl (my mother taught me) and I would be lost if I could not knit for some reason.  This is the one
thing I thoroughly enjoy and to think some good comes of it really pleases me".  Thank you Margaret, what would we do without you?

From September 2018, two of our reception staff; Sue and Pauline have been formally recognised by Lincolnshire County Council for supporting unpaid carers with the 'Carers Champion Award'. Both of them have worked really hard over the past six to eight months to gain the accreditation, and we are all very proud of them and pleased to have been given this award. Any advice or support on the matter, please don't hesitate to speak with Sue Burwell or Pauline Neal.

Another reception staff member, Karen Allen, has recently been appointed as Bereavement Advisor for the surgery. If you have any bereavement enquiries or wish to have a chat with Karen, please don't hesitate to speak with her at the surgery.
